additional information
This is the first tape logged in the Virgin Archive for Street Fighting Years. The Universal listing suggests it was recorded at Sarm in March 1988, but a similar cassette was found in the band's archive labelled Loch Earn Ideas (Red 8). Therefore I believe this was a Safety Copy made at Sarm of the earlier Loch Earn tape.

It features many of the songs which featured on the album, some transitional songs and a few which never got past the recording stage.

Unfortunately the quality is poor. The recordings themselves are bad, and the tape has been chewed. So there are drop outs, distortions, hiss and other defects marring what would be a very interesting collection of instrumental demos and ideas. (There is even a section missing from the recording of Soul Crying Out).

The original Loch Earn tape doesn't include Sacred Eyes, has two versions of Belfast Child and also features Room Coda. Unfortunately the quality of the cassette is also poor.
