This was the first tape of two rough mix tapes which recorded the state of
New Gold Dream (81,82,83,84) on
the 30th May 1982.
The recording is extremely drum and bass heavy.
All these instrumentals instantly recognisable and the composition and arrangements
are almost the same as the final album.
All the songs feature drummer count-ins and longer outros before the final fades (which
in some cases are quite long and gentle, and in others are quite abrupt).
