champagne moon

composer

background
"Last day Glasgow and plenty of sunshine throughout. The changing colours of the leaves include everything from green to gold, purple, reds and burgundy has made the walks through Linn Park spectacular. Highlights however have been the new songs that have come together since being here. Yesterday I demoed Champagne Moon and Everybody V Mother Nature. I expect to demo another two brand new songs this evening!" - Jim, 6th October

"After tonight Lostboy! AKA breaks off before picking the tour up again in Belfast on 10th of November. For the Irish/UK leg we look to add around another five songs to choose from depending on the night. Among them: Champagne Moon by Lostboy! AKA, Believer by Lostboy! AKA, Celebrate by Simple Minds, Sleeping Girl by Simple Minds and The Streets Of Philadelphia by Bruce Springsteen." - Jim, October 23rd 2010

It was shelved during the recording of Big Music and Walk Between Worlds but was re-recorded in 2018.

lyrics
High up above me there's another lonely planet with a champagne moon.
How it keeps turning? There's no answer and no reason why.

I think I love you,
I still love you,
Maybe I love,
But it can't be proved.
It's all above me,
Like the champagne moon.
