Jim and Charlie were now experienced Proms performers having played a full season in 1997 and a couple of dates in 2001. As it was such short notice, their return in 2002 saw them playing the same songs as previously.

At the end of each concert, all the players would return to the stage to sing Let It Be.

To introduce concert goers to Simple Minds, Virgin issued an updated version of The Best Of as a handly CD compilation album. It was only sold at the Proms concerts themselves.

The Best Of was released to be sold at the concerts. It featured the songs played live and other hits from their back catalogue.
