The Stars Will Lead The Way
video was shot on the roof of an anonymous Dockside apartment with the spectacular
backdrop of London in the background. However, to keep things moody, it was shot against
the setting sun, which rendered everyone in silhouette and produced more lens flare than the latest Star Trek offering.
The camera also panned relentlessly giving the impression of the director positioning everyone on the roof (against the sun),
shouting "Action", and then twirling the camera, via its lead, over his head.
Only a minute of the track was ever released. (It’s assumed the post-production boys only edited together the first
seventy seconds). As day-time TV only showed clips, and the video shows of old were extinct, then there seemed to
be little point in producing a full video for the song.
Everyone wore sunglasses though. Which was cool. It made them look like the Velvet Underground.
