Music: Simple Minds

background
The first demo is driven by a chirpy keyboard melody for the versus and chorus with Charlie adding underlying guitar fills and textures.

Not mentioned in any of the band's biographies, its title appeared on a leaked Simple Minds cassette entitled Roughs.

Mick MacNeil's archive includes three versions of the song, all recorded by Charlie and Mick and a drum machine. The first simple demo is the longest, clocking in at 6:01, but only the drum and guitar are included - a shorter edit features the complete demo with Mick. This version is dominated by keyboards with Charlie adding a distinctive guitar line.

A second demo moves the song onwards. It's still Charlie and Mick and a drum machine, but is now overflowing with ideas and riffs. It's difficult to associate this demo with the first.

It hasn't been released in any form.
