During the Street Fighting Years, Simple Minds
rearranged Room into a lengthy euphoric instrumental. Based around the coda
of the original song, and with the tempo slowed slightly, it was a dramatic new arrangement, with a reed-based lead
instrument picking out a new melody, with the rest of the band providing a sturdy bedrock.
Only one recording exists in the Virgin archive but it is complete and is of excellent quality.
