background
Recorded as part of the New Gold Dream (81,82,83,84) sessions, Soundtrack For Every Heaven was based on a complex drumming rhythm devised by Mike Ogletree. The band felt unable to finish the song, and so it was relegated to B-side status, eventually turning up on the flip of the 12" of Someone Somewhere (In Summertime).

It wasn't until the multi-tracks of New Gold Dream (81,82,83,84) were being used to create the 5:1 Surround Sound version of the album for DVD-Audio, that a lost vocal was found for the song. This was finally released as In Every Heaven.
