This undated tape is simply titled "Jams 3." There’s no date or studio information, but from the tape
contents, then it was probably taped at Barwell Court during the band's second stay (January-February 1985)
as many of the songs have moved to recognisable early Once Upon A Time material.
It is the third of three tapes.
Like the other two tapes, the tape's box listing is only part of the picture. An instrumental and lyric version of
Angel Song are included, the track clearly being an
early take of Oh Jungleland.
The title of Get Back is interesting as the song has clearly
evolved into Ghostdancing. The "X2" addition is also interesting
as the song does appear twice, but the second version has the I Travel
lyrics. This is indicated with a scratchy ballpoint pen on the box.
The four other tracks aren't listed, perhaps indicating that they weren't important enough to note nor
to keep. There are three takes of Old Chapel Song #2 which
vary in their completeness and there's also a lone Mick MacNeil
demo. All of these tracks feature lyrical ideas sung by an unknown female singer - probably
Hannah MacNeil.
