Kick It In becomes the third single to be taken from Simple Minds Street Fighting Years album when it is released by Virgin on July 17th.

All versions of Kick It In (SMX 5) will be backed with a special '89 Remix of one of the band's most popular songs Waterfront, which has been remixed by Street Fighting Years co-producer Stephen Lipson.

The seven inch and cassette (SMXC 5) singels will featured an edited version of Kick It In coupled with Waterfront ('89 Remix), while the 12-inch (SMXT 5) carries the full 6-minute album rendition of Kick It In, Waterfront and a live recording of Big Sleep originally found on the New Gold Dream album.

Meanwhile, on the live front, the band move towards the climax of their European Tour immediate upon the release of Kick It In, when they return to the UK to play dates at Leeds, Birmingham, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Glasgow and four dates at Wembley (including an already sold out date at the Stadium).
