Dear Paul,
Since Glasgow's Simple Minds came to the notice of the music press towards the end of last year, the accolades thrust upon them have made
all those now involved in this young group's future somewhat nervous. Sounds worte in December "It's only a matter of time before
Simple Minds become a household name" whilst NME noted "So be warned: don't blame
Simple Minds for the inevitable over-enthusiasm of the media."
Simple Minds' first ever appearance outside Scotladn was in a BBC TV studio during a live transmission of the "Old Grey Whistle Test" three weeks
ago, where they performed two songs from their
debut album "Life In A Day" (ZULP 1) released on April 20th on Zoom Records.
The group have now embarked on their first tour of the UK, supporting Magazine, with a mighty reputation to live up to. You will see from the following
dates that they are playing near you soon. If you would like to see them or indeed interview the group, please call me and I'll make the
