Simple Minds who recently announced plans for their own European tour, have been offered the chance to join Peter Gabriel on the European leg of his tour.

The Minds, who were Gabriel's first choice for support, join him at the start of the tour which begins on September 1 in Hamburg. From Germany, they go to France, Belgium and Holland.

Due to the earlier start of the European tour, Germany and France will be rush-releasing The Minds new album 'EMPIRES AND DANCE', and because of the risk of imports, Arista has agreed with Zoom to bring forward the British release date to September 12. As an added bonus the first 10,000 copies will be available at £3.99 or less, and will then revert to the regular price of £5.00.

Earlier UK warm-up dates that were planned are being re-arranged with agents and promoters, and the British tour will still go ahead as planned.
