life in a day 7" master tape

tracks
A1. Life In A Day (4:00)
B1. Special View (4:14)

catalogue
VU00013589

format
1¼" stereo reel-to-reel in box with Townhouse sticker.

cut date
4th March 1979

additional information
The master tape was cut at The Townhouse by John Leckie and George Chambers on the 4th March 1979.

Life In A Day was copied directly from the album master tape.

The track time of Special View was incorrectly logged on the front of the tape box, leading to the incorrect time being copied to the single's label.

The information on the box was subsequently altered in black ink: the correct time for Special View was added; and Life In A Day was no longer indicated as a master. (It's actually a copy from the album master tape and so that should be used for any future remastering projects.)

The sticker 42686 has also been added to the front of the box. This could've been the tape's filing number at Abbey Road as it's filed as AR42686.
