Simple Minds
Early Gold

Street Date: October 3, 2006

Early Gold collects 15 remastered tracks, hand-picked by the band that in lead singer Jim Kerr's describes as "the exciting blur... when our music began to shine."

"There are peole who were so disappointed at the Minds' descent into sub-U2 stadium rock that it has had a retrospective spoiling effect on even their best work... it's easier now to appreciate again their greatest years." - Uncut

format
Picture CD with promotional labels in jewelcase with eight page colour booklet.

release date
September 2006

additional information
This US promo CD is the most collectable of all the various formats of this release and perhaps the rarest. The CD features a white promotional printed label and FBI Anti-Piracy warning. The anti-piracy warning is also stamped on the booklet in red. But most surprising is the cover which reproduces "Early Gold" in red and not gold.

Many thanks to Erwin for the scan.
