- Original Gold was a two-album compilation by Disky, a record company
based in The Netherlands.
- It was simply their previous two releases, namely smartly presented CD reissues of
Real To Real Cacophony and
Real Life, packaged in a white card slip-sleeve.
- The slip-sleeve was nicely done with embossed gold graphics and featured a previously unissued
shot of the band from a Sparkle In The Rain photoshoot.
- Although pressed in limited numbers, it was distributed throughout Europe (including the UK) in late 1999.
- It was probably issued to ride on the promotion for Our Secrets Are The Same (which
never happened due to the postponement of the album) and to use up Disky's remaining
stock.
